Shadows of Lyme Disease eBook Ron Landis Reviews
Lyme Disease - we hear about it, many experience it, but many others just don't understand it. This book shows how it feels to suffer from lyme, using photography techniques and great artistry to move the viewer from color, into a confusing world of black and white, and back to color and a hopeful world. Images in this photo essay made me feel in some ways how lyme makes its victims feel - dizzy, unsettled, and scared. Thankfully in the end, we do get a sense of calm and hope. Ron Landis weaves together photographs and text as well as art and medicine in this insightful and moving work. He has suffered from the disease and shows us the effects of the disease from first hand experience.
As a health care provider I can say this book is both accurate and heart felt. I administer intravenous infusions for many Lyme patients and will recommend this to them as a source of inspiration.
